Consistent with Peter F.
Drucker’s philosophy of management, our School’s mission is to study
strategically important managerial issues and advance the theory and
practice of management through teaching and field-based research
that contributes to the betterment of society. This mission
influences all aspects of the quantitatively and qualitatively
balanced curriculum. The Drucker MBA curriculum allows the student
to sequentially build knowledge and develop professional skills.
Core courses or foundation level courses provide candidates with an
understanding of the fundamental disciplines of management. Advanced
core courses are geared to help students integrate key concepts and
skills necessary for strategy or general management. Elective
courses allow students to specialize in a particular field of
interest. Our flexible curriculum allows both full-time and
part-time students to select an area of emphasis in strategic
management, risk management/finance, leadership, marketing,
information sciences, and human resources. Students are also able to
take courses outside of the management program. Other disciplines
are available to through the various schools in the Claremont
Graduate University and within the Claremont Colleges consortium.
